Technology
Mobile Communications
We utilize the GeoLogic MM2© multi-mode mobile
communications system to maintain constant contact
with our fleet of tractors. Our multi-mode equipment
gives us the marked advantage of both satellite
and terrestrial communications. This provides
us with the fastest possible communications and
a built-in backup communications system should
one mode or the other become temporarily inoperative.
Real-Time Communications provides
us with the ability to directly link the customer
with the carrier, not just the dispatch office,
but to the trucks on the road. Customer options
for exchanging load information happen without
delay using state of the art technology via email,
fax or speaking directly to our dispatch team.
All vehicle operators are trained
to use the cab-mounted communications system.
This land based system with satellite back up,
and Global Positioning System (GPS) gives dispatchers
and operators capabilities to react immediately,
while in route, to changing conditions and customer
needs.
Electronic Data Interchange
(EDI)
We have been involved in EDI with a number of
customers since 1989. We support II common transportation
transaction sets. Whether your need be for 204,
210, 214, 997 or any of many other sets we can
comply. We also support multiple standards and
versions such as ANSI, ACS, X12, and EDIFact.
We will FTP the data directly to your site or
transmit via one of the many VANs.
