John Cheeseman Trucking, Inc. a strong and stable medium sized company, has positions available for EXPERIENCED over-the-road truck drivers. Our drivers enjoy home weekly routes and some of the highest gross pay available.

For decades John Cheeseman Trucking has been providing regional irregular route partial load, truckload and dedicated service throughout the eastern half of the US. We operate 165 tractors and provide dry van service with a variety of specialized trailers, all dispatched from our central offices in the West Central Ohio town of Fort Recovery. Here our support services include a 73 door flow terminal and a full service maintenance operation. We are a one-stop-shop for drivers.

On April 1, 1999, after over fifty years of providing stable employment opportunity to many people in our prime hiring area, John Cheeseman has entrusted his company to Ed Zumstein. Ed comes to us from Zumstein Trucking, Lewisburg, Ohio and brings with him a vast amount trucking knowledge and hands-on expertise. Ed, realizing that each company is uniquely different in operations, will continue to operate each independently of the other. He plans to learn from all of us as well as support our endeavors.

We are investing in new equipment and aggressively working to retain and recruit experienced people. Part of our efforts include a new driver pay package, new trucks and an improved work environment.

In September of 1999 John Cheeseman Trucking acquired additional business from a private fleet in the Duncan, SC. This increased our fleet size by about 20%. We were very fortunate to have retained the majority of the existing staff from the private fleet. Currently our S. Carolina region supports 28 trucks.

We have evolved into an "Innovative Freight Management" company providing a wide range of services including partial load, truck load, expedited, load to ride - direct, warehousing, freight consolidations, distribution and logistic services.

Our Driver pay package allows an experienced driver to start their compensation at 34 cents per ACTUAL mile (not book or computer miles), PAID $10.00 to $30.00 for EACH stop, PAID up to 4 weeks PAID vacation, PAID Holidays, PAID family health insurance coverage and WEEKLY HOME TIME.

The equipment is the new redesigned Mack Vision with features like a 222 inch wheelbase, condo sleepers, 460 HP engine and many other driver friendly options.
