Cheeseman Transport Announces Second 2017 Driver Pay Increase

10/10/2017 FORT RECOVERY, OH / GREER, SC Cheeseman Transport has announced a second pay increase for 2017 for all drivers effective November 5th 2017. The compensation changes were prompted to support growth and expansion of the company and to reward the current driver base. The increase represents up to a nine (9%) percent increase for calendar year 2017. Details of the most recent compensation change include a one cent per mile increase on the base practical mileage pay and a three cent per mile increase for all other regions. The increase was targeted to impact our regional and over-the-road assignments. In addition to compensation, Cheeseman Transport continues to restructure operations allowing for a more predictable work schedule. Currently they have been successful in developing routes where 50% of it’s’ drivers are on home daily assignments and providing choice of work assignment OTR (over the road), teams, and regional for everyone else. Truck driving school graduates are also considered for employment through their apprentice training program. Open positions include Local, Regional, OTR & Teams.
